Due to the unstable weather and tomorrow being a regular day at work, no field trip occurred, yet I still managed to encounter two butterflies in my yard just after some rain hit our village and a thunderstorm roughly 20 kilometers away from me sill going on.
All I wanted to do was to check my mailbox when a L. megera with badly-damaged wings got scared by my presence. Due to its state, it's unlikely to survive outside of our yard, yet luckily it's feeding on our rough hawksbeard (Crepis biennis) which just started to bloom.
